Working With The American Humane Society
Working with American Humane Society has been one of the most meaningful through-lines of my career. I’ve had the honor of performing in support of their mission during moments when my music was reaching a wider audience, and each experience has deepened my gratitude for being able to use my voice in service of something greater than myself.
My first performance connected to the Hero Dog Awards is a moment I will never forget. I performed my Billboard single “I Will Carry You,” and as I sang, Betty White was seated front and center in the audience. She sent me such warmth, encouragement, and love throughout the entire song — a quiet, powerful exchange of energy that stayed with me long after I left the stage. The following year brought another unforgettable experience when I was introduced by Lisa Vanderpump, alongside her adorable dog. Being welcomed in that way, surrounded by people who genuinely care about animals and compassion, was incredibly special.
Most recently, traveling to Palm Beach to sing the National Anthem was a profound honor. After performing the National Anthem, singing “I Will Be Here” felt especially meaningful at Pups4Patriots, held at Club Colette — a beautiful event dedicated to honoring veterans and the remarkable dogs who serve alongside them. Standing there, I was deeply aware of how powerful it is when music can raise awareness and support for causes that truly matter — causes that foster healing, gratitude, and real impact in the world.
I want to extend special gratitude to Robin Ganzert, CEO of the American Humane Society, for her leadership, heart, and unwavering commitment to protecting both animals and those who serve. To learn more about their incredible work, visit www.americanhumane.org.
